Course Description
This course places emphasis on the role of computers in the printing industry. Students will experience and manage the process of taking an idea from a raw sketch and transforming it into a press-ready document using the technology of computerized printing as it exists today. Topics include, but are not limited to, page layout, cut and paste, and design, integrating text and graphics, borders, fonts, printing formats, editing techniques, and producing a plate from the mechanical. Related career opportunities will be discussed. |
